The Interreg Central Europe project ENTRAIN addresses quality management systems for RES DHC networks in rural areas. Such a QM system is now introduced in the Italian Region Friuli Venezia Giulia. A good reason for the ENTRAIN and RES-DHC projects to team up.
The Energy Agency of Friuli-Venezia Giulia has recently joined the international working group on Quality Management for Biomass District Heating Plants (QM Holzheizwerke). The QM Holzheizwerke was developed by the Swiss administration in 1998 and has evolved into a transnational Quality Management System for Biomass District Heating Plants. Now, Italy has also joined this working group. As a first step the “Linee guida del sistema di qualità QM Holzheizwerke” (in Italian) was published and is available free under the download below. The goal of this activity, developed within the ENTRAIN project, is to roll-out the quality systems in the region, also extending it to other renewable energy sources, especially those used by the Italian model region included in the project RES-DHC.
